The last round of pics - Day 3 of the Midwest Dharma Celebration...

Gen Demo finished giving commentary to the Liberating Prayer in two teaching sessions. The last concluded with the oral transmission of the Liberating Prayer by its author and our founder, the Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. So powerful and moving 🥲

We also got to bring the meaning of the Liberating Prayer deeper into our hearts with a morning meditation guided by Gen Dorje. And enjoyed LOTS of laughs, meaningful conversation and delicious cafe treats 😍

The main event of Day 2 of the Midwest Dharma Celebration was the empowerment of Buddha Shakyamuni. Gen Demo guided a series of blissful meditations to energize, inspire and empower us to draw closer to Buddha and gradually become just like him ✨

Gen Dorje helped us prepare our minds for the empowerment with a skillfully guided meditation - reminding us to let go of whatever is holding us back, because temporary liberation from suffering is just not good enough! 😌

In the afternoon teaching session, Gen Demo gave commentary to the first 3 verses of the Liberating Prayer. She made the prayer feel so practical and accessible with relatable stories and crystal clear analogies ❤

In honor of NKT Day, Gen Zamling shared some of the many exciting dharma developments around the midwest, and we watched the latest NKT video. There was much rejoicing 😆👏

We closed out the day with Wishfulfilling Jewel puja. You could definitely feel the power of the midwest sangha coming together in this way 🙏
