We wish Luke Saffert and Isabel Larson a big congratulations upon their graduation from UW Madison! Luke will transition from his role with us as an intern to a full-time Credit Analyst and Isabel will join our Human Resource team as a Talent Operations Associate. We’re lucky to have these hardworking and talented graduates joining us as they take this next step in their careers!

In celebration for her upcoming retirement, we'd like to honor the significant impact Barbara Mccarty Conley, JD has made at First Business Bank and in our community. It's a challenge to capture the importance of her role at First Business Bank and the significance of her contributions to our community, but we will try!

Fifteen years ago in December of 2007, Barbara began working at First Business Bank as General Counsel/ Chief Legal Counsel, serving as legal advisor and resource to the Board of Directors, its committees, executive management, and all of First Business Bank’s business lines and shared services.

While serving on a nonprofit board, Barbara met Jan Eddy, who introduced her to Corey Chambas who, as it turns out, was kicking around the idea of hiring in-house counsel.

It was the start of a second career for Barbara, who had worked as a senior manager for 30 years at Associated Bank when she enrolled part time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School while still working full time in banking. She pursued her law degree after attaining a Master of Business Administration in Finance from University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.

But Barbara's professional roles were only a fraction of her contributions as she tirelessly served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees over the years, making a lasting impact on our community at:
