This calendar is brought to you by the friendly volunteer collective of the Madison Infoshop, c/o Social Justice Center, 1202 Williamson St., Madison, WI 53703. As a volunteer run collective serving the greater WI community, we also offer a safe organizing space with a wide range of activist resources including books, zines, periodicals, art supplies, topical files, graphics, megaphones, and button makers. We also host episodic reading groups, film discussions, and radically inspired cultural events. The Madison Infoshop is whatever its members wish it to be!

Mon. Jan. 19th 3:30 – 6:30 pm Badger Rock Neighborhood Center (501 E. Badger Rd.) Supper Club – hosted by the Mutual Aid Network! If you have any extra ingredients, bring them. We'll make a Stone Soup-style meal that will feature a healthy vegan entree plus other treats based on what's available. Welcoming Marc Lamont Hill, award winning scholar, author, and media commentator. The program will also feature the MLK Community Choir, presentation of the 2026 MLK Humanitarian Awards by Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway and Dane County Executive Melissa Agard, and a Call to Action. Tues. Jan. 20th 6:00 pm WI State Capitol – State St. Corner. Stop ICE Terror Rally – part of the Nationwide Shutdown! As we mark one year since the beginning of Trump's presidency, people across the country are rising up to say no to Trump's racist war on immigrants. From Madison to Minneapolis, we refuse to stay silent as our neighbors are harassed, kidnapped, injured and murdered by masked ICE thugs. Johnson St.) Building Unity Potluck and Gathering – featuring a “Call to Action” from community leaders including: Rebe Silvey, Everett Mitchell; Ajak Johnson, and John Nichols; screening of episodes from the A Force More Powerful documentary series; as well as a discussion about how people in the greater Madison-area are getting ready to engage in nonviolent action. Sun. Jan. 25th 1:30-3:00 pm Orchard Ridge United Church of Christ (1501 Gilbert Rd.) Through the Eyes of a Palestinian Child: The Artwork and Dreams of Bethlehem’s Children - An Exhibit of Children’s Artwork from Palestine. The program will include a children’s read-aloud and craft project with Read Palestine, and brief updates on the impacts of occupation on children in the West Bank from local organizations Playgrounds for Palestine and Palestine Partners. Sat. Feb. 7th 6:00 – 8:00 pm James Reeb Unitarian Universalist (2146 E. Johnson) No Appetite for Apartheid Launch Event! Join us for an evening of solidarity with Palestine including delicious ethically sourced Middle Eastern food, cultural entertainment, plus door prizes. This is also the kickoff of the No Appetite for Apartheid campaign to make Madison a more ethical place to shop by removing all grocery items complicit in the violence against Palestinians. Join us for a ceremony on the steps of the State Capitol Building, followed by a fellowship hour at Grace Episcopal Church (116 W. Washington Ave.) . After four years of war, it is time to honor the resilience and courage of the Ukrainian people and to remember the sacrifices they have made since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. We encourage you to wear blue and yellow, and bring Ukrainian flags and posters in support of Ukraine to create a display of solidarity.
