Debate is at the core of a functioning democracy. If you know me, you know I value free speech and will protect our rights.
This past spring, I had the pleasure of speaking with La Follette School of Public Affairs students as part of their contemporary public policy issues course.
Senator Wimberger and I got to answer great questions, and I really enjoyed engaging with the students on the issues that matter most to them.
Music festivals, concerts, and shows across Wisconsin are all about summer fun. What's not fun is getting scammed out of a ticket or purchasing one for 10 times the normal price.
Ticketmaster and other resellers are ripping off consumers and the lack of regulation is taking your hard earned dollars out of your pocket. I authored a bill this past session to rein in the bad actors and stop the scalpers, and it's called the SWIFTIE Act.
Here's my testimony during the public hearing, where we also heard about an alternative Republican bill. I'm dedicated to finding common ground and working across the aisle to find a solutions for the fans!
