At DAMA’s Mobile Art Day, spending time with these talented students was a powerful reminder of how art and music can bring people together and build community. When creativity and collaboration meet, something special happens.

Our Mobile Art Studio is all about making art accessible—bringing hands-on art experiences directly to schools and neighborhoods. This means you’ll be seeing more of DAMA’s artists out in the community this summer, using art as an alternative path to building relationships, strengthening community bonds, and supporting collective healing.

The theme of this mural, “Finding Belonging Through Music,” reflects our belief that creative expression can help everyone feel they have a place. With each brushstroke and note, we’re not just making art—we’re building connections, fostering understanding, and helping our neighborhoods heal and grow together.

We’re grateful for the support of the Community Reinvestment Fund and the state’s violence prevention grant, which make it possible for us to keep showing up, inspiring, and creating alongside our neighbors.
