A matching robe and gown set made from mom’s wedding dress 🤍

Julie came to me wanting to surprise her daughter with something truly special for her wedding morning. We transformed her wedding dress into this heirloom set, and even added a hand embroidered label in mom’s handwriting. The sweetest personal touch for such a meaningful piece.

The process of making this cape for Hannah was a designer’s dream. She came in with one vision, but once we took apart the skirt of her mother’s dress, we were inspired to create something entirely different. It couldn’t have turned out more perfect for her 🤍

I heard it’s 2016 again… I spend the summer designing a collection to show as an emerging designer at Birmingham Fashion Week, and interning for sewing lots of beautiful lace onto gorgeous wedding gowns. Then in the fall I work on my senior showcase for design school, and continue working for Heidi. What a fun year it was! Fast forward 10 years later and I’ve found myself back where it all started, in the bridal world. Funny how life comes full circle 🩷
