Effective today I have made the incredibly difficult decision to leave Post Human Tattoo Co.
Many things have happened over the past 6 months that have caused me to put taking care of my overall health on pause, and I can no longer put myself second.
I do not know how long I will be stepping away from tattooing, but I appreciate everyone continued support as I take a step back.
I will still be posting designs that I hope to tattoo once I have moved to another shop, as well as opening commissions to help support myself.

I am trans.

I am your best friend, your son, your brother, your tattoo artist, your fiancé, the green haired guy you pass on the street while he’s looking at rocks.

I am just like you. And I’m just like every cis person who takes gender affirming hormones to look my best. I have hobbies, dreams, a job and a career, a family who loves me, my best friend who I’m marrying, a petting zoo of animals who depend on me and love me.

I play DnD and Skyrim, I embroider, I watch Grey’s, I ship out boxes, and permanently alter peoples skin so they they too can have a healing experience and walk away more comfortable in their skin.

I am NOT a predator, and I don’t care what you do in the bathroom. I would rather not know, in fact. Instead, I’m terrified to use the bathroom unless it’s gender neutral/handicapped/family. I pass enough to some people, but the people I don’t could range anywhere from not understanding to wanting to kill me.

Today should be a day of celebrating with all of my trans sibling around the world, that we have fought and survived this long. And it is; but, it’s also a day of fear in recent events. We are in the midst of a long standing trans genocide, and lawmakers are doing their best to take it to extermination. We’ve seen this before, in one of the most well known genocides in history, we know where this is going. But we aren’t giving up.

We’ve been here the whole time; in the form of indigenous two-spirit, the 6 genders of Judaism, the 3 genders in Hinduism, the 4 of Buddhism, etc. And we will continue to be here whether you want us or not; there are plenty of bricks to go around after all.
