Anyone can be sober. All you have to do is not use.... But if you want to RECOVER, you'll have to work through the things that made you use in the first place. My story is not much different than yours. But after watching many people I care about fall victim to addiction, I knew there had to be a better way to live and cope with trauma. If you're wondering where to start, its simple. You need to learn how to love yourself. An addict that truly loves themselves will not use. Create a life you no longer need to escape from. Stop saying you got sober for your kids, mom or dad. You need to get sober for you. When you change your perspective and put yourself first, you become the best version of YOURSELF.
