The Rocking RF Ranch Eggs, Pullets, & Honey

We are pleased to introduce April's Chicken of the Month, Betty, our distinguished White Brahma hen, who stands out as a queen among our brood with her calm and independent nature.

We are currently fostering four chicks until they reach an appropriate age for relocation to their permanent home. These chicks are the offspring of a Bard Rock rooster named Roost Lee, whom we relocated to another small ranch, and his four Dominique hens. Notably, it looks like all four eggs we incubated from this breeding have yielded hens. That is not common at all!

The Rocking RF Ranch is safeguarded by two devoted guardians, Rex, a watchful Great Pyrenees alpha guard, and Thor, a multifaceted mixed-breed hunter, who successfully protect our property, family, bee colonies, and feathered friends from potential threats. Both dogs thrive on attention and affection, eagerly reciprocating every chance they get.

With a legacy of beekeeping spanning generations, our family was gifted two hives and an exceptional extractor by our grandfather in September 2023. A seasoned apiarist with a 50-year tenure, he has kindly bestowed upon us the means to launch our apiary business and access to a lifetime of knowledge.

Chewy is always there watching over his hens. Either that or he is judging me for where I decided to park the trailer!
