Hello friends! Rob and I have embarked on a wild journey this year, and we officially have a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving students, teachers, and employers to help build a happier and more passionate workforce of the future: Education Success Origin Story.

We kicked off our massive remodel project this month, and we’re almost to the halfway point. These renderings include some highlights: kitchen, staircase, living room, and basement are all getting a facelift.
The style is a warm modern upstairs with some beach vibes. We love white walls and countertops, but the maple cabinets and flooring along with pops of color in the furniture and decor help make it comfortable. We’ve wanted a cable railing on our stairs for a looong time, and we’re making it happen this time.
The basement is more of a Manly Modern look. Moody charcoal walls in the bar area with black cabinets and a marble tile floor. We’re keeping the wood burning fireplace and planning to update it with lime wash paint. The small area at the foot of the stairs will eventually become the music room - piano, guitars, microphone, and amp. That way I can drop everything to have a karaoke party at a moment’s notice. As one does.
After looking at the unfinished subfloor and half-hung drywall today, I just needed a little reminder that it’s all going to be worth it!
