Hi Manchester Family!

I've recently planted zucchini straight into my garden bed and it has been a joy watching them grow. Plenty of squash blossoms that I have some yummy ideas for. But, I wanted to remind you of the tips for growing zucchini that I've mentioned before!

5 quick and helpful facts about growing zucchini:

🌿Zucchini grows fast: You can harvest it about 45–60 days after planting, and once it starts producing, it really takes off!

🌿They need space: Zucchini plants grow wide and bushy, so give each plant at least 2 to 3 feet of space to spread out.

🌿Pollination is key: Zucchini has separate male and female flowers. Bees and other pollinators are essential for fruit to form. No bees? You can hand-pollinate with a cotton swab or soft brush!

🌿Harvest young for flavor: For the best taste and texture, pick zucchini when they’re 6–8 inches long. Letting them get huge can make them watery and seedy.

🌿One plant goes a long way: A single healthy zucchini plant can produce 10–20 fruits or more in a season.
