Fresh Start Canine Academy

What a morning this was! The dogs were a little out of sorts in a new place but I think the humans were all overjoyed by the gorgeous location and equally beautiful weather.

Only training in a classroom, or training in isolation, is going to limit your progress. Almost all of these dogs have exhibited reactive behaviors. Some are just sweet and easygoing. Others are nervous, aloof, and wary by nature. Hard to tell from the video, right?

The owners make the difference. Once you’ve had a well trained dog and all that comes with it, you can never go back. These folks keep showing up to dial in their training, learn new skills, and maintain focus and impulse control in their dogs.

We also have a great time! We chitchat about all kinds of things and so many friendships have formed over the years. I’m always thrilled to hear about students getting together on their own to train and explore new places.

If you’ve trained with us but were intimidated by joining drop in classes, we encourage you to rethink that. Reach out. Everyone was scared going into their first class. Some of us stay scared for awhile 😉. But if you keep showing up, you’ll enjoy the results.
