Meet Audrey Nadeau, one of the recipients of the 2025 George Butch Joseph Foundation Scholarship! Audrey is a standout student-athlete and community leader, now pursuing her Entrepreneurship degree at Suffolk University while continuing to shine on the volleyball court.
A Manchester West High School graduate, Audrey was a letterwinner and two-year team captain, Senior State All-Star, Class Vice President, and member of both DECA and the Student-Athlete Leadership Team. She earned recognition on the Principal’s List, was inducted into the National Honor Society, and was a Blue Knight Award nominee—a true example of leadership, integrity, and drive.
The George Butch Joseph Foundation is proud to support local scholar-athletes like Audrey who embody commitment, character, and community spirit—values that reflect the legacy of George “Butch” Joseph.
Please join us this Friday at George Butch Joseph Foundation’s Yours In Sports Social to honor Butch's memory and help us support the incredible young people of Manchester, just like Audrey, for years to come!

Recently the GBJ Foundation purchased an adjustable multi-ring basketball hoop and 12 basketballs for the Central High School Unified Basketball program. Since 2014 CHS has had a team, which was launched by Special Olympics. The majority of students in the adaptive Physical Education class play on the Unified Team. They're joined by Unified Partners, regular education students who also play on the team. Games are played during the day, which allows the school to have pep rallies so all students can benefit from the energy and positivity Unified Sports can bring. Unified Programs serve scholar-athletes by teaching them all about sportsmanship and camaraderie. All students who attend games learn about valuing everyone in their community, even those facing insurmountable obstacles. At Central, game days are some of the most positive days at school. Last season, for the first time since the program began, a student in a wheelchair was on the team. Central High School now has its own multi-ring basketball hoop which allows athletes in wheelchairs to comfortably participate in Unified basketball games. The Foundation strives to do things that Butch Joseph would have done, and purchasing this special basketball hoop is one of those many things.

When the Manchester City High School's track coaches put in a grant request for 4 sets of fold out seats for their track teams to use at meets, the GBJ Foundation jumped into action. As of 2 weeks ago, these athletes no longer need to sit on the ground during their meets, and it surely makes it easier for them to do their homework while in between events.
The 6th annual "YOURS IN SPORTS" Social Event will be held at the Derryfield Country Club on Friday, November 8th from 6 to 9pm.
Tickets are $35 each or $350 to reserve a table for 10.
