A couple of weeks ago, I visited my favorite annual summer dreamland, Pemaquid Point in Maine. I love it there because I can think and reflect, pray and worship...and most of listen...

My name is Camille. I am an RN that works in the Manchester community. I have spent the greater part of my career witnessing intense suffering, grief, as well as moments of victory and resolution... but one thing remains lacking... a sense of inner change and new mindset that’s causing years of dysfunction and abuse to be laid down and new life to come forth. I have learned the medical field cannot provide that, and the government cannot provide that... but a personal relationship with Jesus has proven true over and over! Out of this longing to see people healed deeply, There is HOPE event has been created to help people who are suffering find strength, care, compassion, partnerships and relationships with Christian ministries, churches and individuals that can walk alongside them and restore their sense of self worth, which will result in a life of HOPE... Currently, the success rate of secular programs run about 7 percent for addicts... in contrast, faith based programs such as Teen Challenge, have a success rate greater than 70 percent!! That is HUGE!!!!

Jesus said He came to heal, forgive, restore and fight against evil that destroys people... I see people destroyed by addiction and abuse all too frequently through my work as an RN... to start this city wide event and partner with so many people is inspirational and will change lives forever.. “God So LOVED the world.. He gave His Son...” John 3:16 (bible)
