By doing this, we deepen our connection to Self, to Nature, to all beings on Mother Earth.

We tap into our beingness. We feel a sense of oneness. We have no other option but to grow through life with love.

Of all the ways meditation can alter your life, here are the top 3 things I STOPPED doing when I STARTED MEDITATING:

⫸ pushing myself to a breaking point:

with the awareness of how my mind + body are feeling, I am better able to assess when and where I need to pull back to prevent burnout

⫸ comparing myself to others:

In cultivating gratitude, I recognize that my pathway is unique and unfolds it's own divine timing

⫸ Shame spiraling on the past:

in bringing myself into the present moment, I accept that the past is immovable and instead spend my energy focusing on the lessons learned and the experiences that are part of who I am

IN PROCESS ~ Negative self-talk: as I bring awareness to the thoughts in my head space, I notice more any unkind words that are shared and reframe more quickly

When we meditate, we allocate energy to the parts of ourselves that are in most need of healing. In a chaotic world, so often those stories/fears are hidden, shoved down, passed over in the hustle of our daily lives but as we settle into stillness and slow down, we allow the spotlight of our awareness to bring a brightness to the things that we are struggling with.

And as we bring awareness to any internal doubts, limiting beliefs or inner critiques, we are empowered to "name it to tame it" and that is the true beginning of our healing journey.

Because it is all harder to see in the dark, light becomes our most powerful catalyst.

Sometimes it’s about surrender...
not trying to figure it all out.
Simply trusting that it’s all unfolding as it should.
Staying conscious.
Staying open to the possibilities arising.

Slowly read that again.

As we move through the end of 2021 and embrace the newness of 2022, let us all pause, take a breath and begin again.

As long as we are here breathing, we (always) have the opportunity to begin again. The beauty in living in the present is realizing that every moment is unraveling for the very first time - no two moments will ever be the same. So may we remember this centering thought…

As long as I am here consciously breathing, I am present and when I am present I am beginning again.
