“Finding joy in the little things so the big things can find me.” — The Pivot Year

I’ve spent so much of my life focused on the next goal, the next milestone, the next version of myself.

But this past weekend reminded me that joy isn’t waiting at the finish line.

It’s in the salty air.
Sunsets over the water.
Bare feet in the sand.

The laughter of friends who make ordinary days unforgettable. Maybe these small moments aren’t distractions from the life we’re trying to build.

Maybe they are the life.

When we slow down enough to nourish our spirit, we create space for clarity, possibility, and whatever comes next.

I love reading books like The Pivot Year because they become gentle reminders of how we can live more intentionally and create a more fulfilling life.

Our next gathering is around Think & Grow Rich on July 12 — a conversation about desire, mindset, and the beliefs that shape the life we create. Join us through the link in bio. ✨

You don’t always have to “let go.”

There’s one idea from The Pivot Year I keep coming back to.
It’s completely changed how I think.

What if, instead of trying to let it go, you simply decided not to pick it up again?

Sometimes change can be that simple.

It’s deciding not to pick it up again.
The worry that loops in the background.
The self-doubt you’ve rehearsed for years.
The old story about who you are or aren’t.
The version of you that no longer fits anymore.

Not picking it up again feels less like force.

And more like a choice you make in real time—gentler, and more intentional.

Again and again.

This weekend has been a reminder of that for me. Maybe you needed this too.

Where are the women who want to grow?

Not because they think they need to change.

But because they’re curious about who they’re becoming.

I’ve been reading Think & Grow Rich, and one sentence has been living in my head:
“If you do not conquer self, you will be conquered by self.”

At first, I thought this was just about discipline.

But I think it goes much deeper.

The stories we tell ourselves.
The habits we keep repeating.
The fear that disguises itself as “I’m not ready.”
The comfort that quietly convinces us to wait.

We often think what’s standing between us and the life we want is more time, more confidence, or the perfect opportunity.

But what if it’s the version of ourselves that’s holding on to old beliefs?

The woman who says she’ll start next month.
The one who overthinks instead of taking one small step.
The one who forgets that growth isn’t something we achieve once—it’s something we practice every day.

That’s why I love reading books like this.

Not because they give me all the answers.
Because they ask better questions.

So, as June comes to a close, I’m asking myself:
Where am I allowing fear, comfort, or self-doubt to make decisions for me?

And where can I choose courage instead?
I’d love to know...

What part of yourself are you working to master right now? 🤍📚
