Experimenting with on linen fabrics. After so many years, I have forgotten everything and had to basically learn everything from scratch. I have used it a lot on paper in my art but now re-learning how to do it on linen 😅Not an easy process and messy, but loving every minute of it!

Although the exact origin of is unknown , the earliest known batiks were discovered in Egyptian tombs dating back to the 4th century BCE. Wax resist techniques were developed independently by disparate cultures throughout the ancient world.
By the 7th century AD patterning fabrics using wax resist was widespread throughout Asia and Africa and most fully developed in Indonesia.
By the 13th Century it became a highly respected art form
in the 17th Century, batik was introduced to Holland and other parts of Europe….

Maybe I will start selling them as pillows…. Anyone interested?
