Who knew I would fall in love with a dessert I never even heard? When Chef LesLie () notified me that I had won a sweet vegan prize, I didn't know what to think! What is tres leches? Would I like it? I wasn't into milk that much when I was growing up omni. So would "3 milks" make my sweet tooth happy? Until I actually tasted the first spoonful, I was filled with doubt!

Well, let me tell you, I have no more doubt! I love Chef LesLie's tres leches! It is simultaneously dense and light! It was creamy! And I tasted none of that super sweetness of a traditional cake. (One of the things I like best about vegan desserts is that they usually aren't as sweet as regular desserts.)

I can only guess what the 3 vegan milks are: regular plant milk, vegan evaporated milk, and vegan condensed milk? I think the "frosting" is a vegan whipped cream. And Chef LesLie gave me a whole cake! Not a single portion, but a whole cake!

When I tell you that I loved it so much that I had to freeze it to keep from eating even more than I did, I'm not lying! Chef LesLie just created a tres leches monster! Truly, it didn't even seem like I was eating cake! Well, it's going to be all I can do to keep from running to Vegan Grill () on the upper eastside and getting more! Vegan tres leches!! You have a new fan for life!! Chirp, chirp!!

Congrats to Theresa Della Valle and family on last night's premiere of Rawshock, a new play by Rita Lewis at Manhattan Repertory Theatre ()!! Theresa was funny and heartbreaking as the aging, bi-polar Katherine! As any family of actors can tell you, doimg a play in any capacity is usually a family affair! Schedules have to accommodate rehearsals and performances and often family members help with learning lines. So not only am I congratulating Theresa, but also her actor/comedian husband, Bob () and her daughter Isabelle! 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼

Ditected by Ken Wolf, the rest of the cast was solid. I think the writing was good. I'm not really a fan of "therapy drama," but if you are, you might enjoy this play. Only 2 performances left, so hurry if you want to see Rawshock! Chirp, chirp!!

I don't think any photo could do it justice, but I did my best!! 6/13/23 around 7:45p, I think. WOW!!! The sun looked so HUGE and magnificent!! And so defined!! So blessed to have witnessed this incredible site!! 💓 Chirp, chirp!!
