Today is International Transgender Day of Visibility, a time to celebrate the lives, contributions, and resilience of trans people everywhere.

But visibility without protection is not enough.

Right now, harmful legislation in Kansas is targeting trans people under the guise of public safety. These laws don’t protect anyone; they put lives at risk and send a clear message that trans people don’t belong.

We cannot let that stand.

Here are a few ways to take action:
• Support local LGBTQ+ organizations doing advocacy and mutual aid
• Show up—online and in person—for trans people in your community
• Challenge misinformation and speak up when it matters

To every trans person: you are seen, you are valued, and you deserve safety, dignity, and joy—not just today, but every day.
