PID Floors x Hans Galutera

Welcome to our new PID Floors video series: BEYOND THE SURFACE, featuring design conversations about inspiration and innovation with the people who endlessly inspire us.

For our 4th Episode, we were thrilled to chat with designer Hans Galutera, the wildly talented founder and CEO of @hgdesignworks , who exceeds expectations with innovative designs that are both breathtakingly beautiful and haute couture. Hans is also the co-founder Emeritus of New York-based BG Studio International, Inc. and is the Past President of the Board of Directors for IIDA New York Chapter and an Honorary Member of the Society of British Interior Designers (Hon.SBID) which is why we are so excited to have him serving as PID Floors’ Director of Educational Outreach.

Hans is celebrated for his experience and expertise in the art and science of enhancing interiors, and at times including the exterior of a space, building or a cruise liner, to achieve a safer, healthier, and more aesthetically pleasing sustainable environment. Hans was the perfect designer to collaborate with us on our Reclaimed Collection. He will be creating a bold new line of reclaimed products fusing the Japanese art of kintsugi with the geometric sophistication of art deco. Crafted from reclaimed wood, each plank will celebrate natural flaws with striking metallic inlays, turning imperfections into beauty.
