Head down to Brother's Coffee Co, 1437 Anderson Avenue, on Monday (National Pi Day) to get a slice of Therapie's amazing homemade pies. They will donate a portion of pie sales to Habitat for Humanity!
And now for a little history:
March 14 is National Pi (π) Day, the annual celebration of a never-ending number. The celebration started in 1988 at the San Francisco Exploratorium, a public learning laboratory exploring science, art, and human perception. Larry Shaw, former staff physicist, linked March 14 with the first digits of pi (3.14) in order to organize a special day to bond the Exploratorium staff; he offered fruit pies and tea to everyone starting at 1:59 pm, the following three digits of the value. The celebration includes a remembrance of Albert Einstine whose birthday is 3/14. Congress declaired it a national holiday in 2009.

These photos are from last night's Third Thursday celebration. A really fun evening with amazing entertainment and artists! We ended the evening with some fabulous pizza at AJs. My newsletter typically comes out every Thursday. It included info about the Third Thursday event as well as events you don't want to miss this weekend, including the K-State Gardens celebration, concerts, art exhibits, K-State sports and other events.
