Even though I basically live in this barn I forget how much farming I actually do myself. It may not compare even a little bit to the farmers and ranchers I document, but just this morning I fixed a horse fence, cleaned their pen, rescued a chicken, moved 500 pounds of feed, and herded my kids to school. Not too shabby of list before 8:30. What did you accomplish this morning?

Perfection. A beautiful frosty sunrise, and my horse that begs for food as soon I step outside. When I was little my parents bought an arial print of our farm. Years later I bought one from the traveling photographer after my dad had passed away. Mom was so embarrassed about how bad the farm was looking and didn’t want to but now my brother and I each have a print of our special childhood home no longer in our family.
I love being able to capture pieces of history like these images of my current farm and barn studio. I also try not to be embarrassed by the fact it doesn’t look perfect from above. But, it’s home. Can Woller Photography document yours?
