Quick (maybe) story time:
Supposed to attend Exchange ETF conference in Vegas 3/15-3/18 with our flight scheduled to leave Minneapolis was cancelled Friday 3/13. I rebooked flights round trip to Omaha. Then 3/14 in the morning, I had a rental car (someone rear ended my truck a few weeks ago), so I called to see if I could get a one-way rental instead, and they were fine with that.
Drove to Omaha on 3/14 only to arrive at 11pm and an email that those flights were cancelled as well. Before going to sleep, I decided we would just drive the remaining 17.5 hours.
On the drive at 4am, I called the airline and they rebooked us for Denver, so we decided to take the flight from Denver to Vegas (8 hour drive instead of 17.5). Made it to Denver around 11am. Only thing I forgot - when checking rental car in Denver, the guy asked "is this one of our cars?" I failed to call Enterprise to let them know I was dropping it off at a different location than the original plan of Omaha!
Moral of the story - if you see an obstacle, what is your first reaction? Do you just say "well, I guess that's it."? Or do you try to figure out a way around, over, or through said obstacle?
