I believe most people overpay, or leave money on the table, because they’re afraid or simply don’t want to negotiate.

Almost everything in a real estate transaction is negotiable: the price, the repairs, the timeline. The instinct to just accept the first number because asking feels rude is normal. It’s also usually the expensive one. Being agreeable is not the same as being smart with your money.
If you don’t ask, you don’t get it.
