From a tiny fighter born at just 1 pound 7 ounces to a high school graduate and now the President of Interact Club Diaspora Youth, her journey is a testament to perseverance, courage, and determination.
I am incredibly proud of my daughter for overcoming challenges that once seemed impossible. Today, she steps into a new leadership role as President of Interact Club Diaspora Youth, where she will have the opportunity to connect with young leaders from around the world, develop her leadership skills, and make a meaningful impact through service.
In today’s global society, our children must be prepared to engage with people from different cultures, perspectives, and backgrounds. Through Interact, she will gain access to international opportunities, lifelong friendships, and experiences that will help shape her future.
Interact Club Diaspora Youth is proudly sponsored by the Rotary Club of I-94 Inclusive, whose mission is to empower young people through leadership, service, cultural understanding, and global citizenship.
As a father, there is no greater joy than seeing your child not only succeed but also become a leader who can inspire and serve others.

A Mission Accomplished, A Dream Realized
Today, I can proudly say that the mission of Multicultural Kids Network has been accomplished. The organization was founded to support children and families navigating the education system, especially those facing challenges similar to those my daughter experienced.
Against all odds, my daughter has graduated. Watching her walk across that stage was more than a personal victory, it was proof that with advocacy, support, determination, and community, every child can succeed. I could not be more proud of her.
As Chair of the Education Committee of the Minneapolis NAACP, I remain committed to supporting children and families as they navigate their educational journeys. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, thrive, and graduate with dignity, regardless of their circumstances.
To everyone who supported Multicultural Kids Network over the years, volunteers, educators, advocates, community members, friends, and donors, thank you. Your support made a difference. You helped change lives. You helped children reach their goals.
My daughter’s graduation is not only her success; it is a shared success for all of us.
