Marcellus Fire Department

At 10:38, Marcellus Fire was dispatched to a MVC, vehicle vs. telephone pole, at the intersection of Route 174 and Seal Road.

Marcellus Rescue 1 (LT Haney), Engine 2 (FF Hullihen), Car 2 (Asst. Chief Mayers) and Fire Police responded with 13 members. Units arrived to find a single vehicle that hit a telephone pole, with wires down across the road and the electrical service ripped from a house.

R-1’s crew addressed hazards, while Marcellus Ambulance provided patient care. E-2 and Fire Police provided traffic control. Command requested NYSEG to the scene.

Yesterday for our weekly drill, Marcellus firefighters were at the Fire Training Center Town of Onondaga utilizing the maze. Firefighters navigated through multiple obstacles designed to simulate searching in confined spaces.

On July 4, Marcellus Fire Department proudly marched in the Skaneateles Community Parade to honor and celebrate our nation’s 250th Independence Day.

We would like to thank the Town of Skaneateles for their continued support and inviting us to participate alongside neighboring fire departments and many community organizations. It is always an honor to participate in events in the communities that we serve.

The Marcellus Fire Department takes great pride in providing fire protection to Shepard Settlement in the Town of Skaneateles for the past 74 years, as well as regularly working together with the Skaneateles and Mottville Fire Departments.
