Someone explained something to me recently that I haven’t stopped thinking about.

She said sometimes you can show up completely prepared, confident, and proud of what you’re bringing… and it still won’t be what someone is looking for. Not because it isn’t good. Not because you didn’t do enough. Just because they already had something else in mind.

She explained it like this:

You could be the most perfectly made Dr Pepper, every detail right, thoughtfully prepared, and presented exactly how it should be. BUT if the judges are looking for lemonade, they’re going to choose that.

That’s hard, because it’s so easy to walk away from moments like that and start questioning yourself. You start wondering what you should have changed or how you could have been different.

Not every outcome is a reflection of your effort or your value, sometimes it’s just a reflection of what someone else was looking for in that moment.

That doesn’t mean you need to change who you are to fit it. It just means not every room is meant to recognize what you bring.

So if you ever feel out of place or overlooked, it might not be because you weren’t enough. It might just be because you weren’t what they were expecting.

And in a refrigerator full of lemonades, it’s okay to be the Dr Pepper! 🫶🏼

I am beyond delighted to announce the rebrand of The Philanthropy Project to The Volunteer Project! TVP will now be a subsidiary under Pageant Perfection Coaching with its focus on promoting PPC/TVP Ambassador’s Community Service Initiatives as well as serving their communities!

Each month will be focused on a different Ambassador and her CSI, and in turn this will not only create a sisterhood and group project environment of different passion projects, but each girl will equally get to focus on her CSI during her featured month with the support of fellow TVP Ambassadors! 🩵👑
