If you’re visiting Arizona from the East Coast 🇺🇸 (or anywhere else), don’t just drive through Page. There’s more to do in this little town than you’d think.

Here are 6 lower‑effort things to do in Page, Arizona that made our stop here worth it: slot canyons, lake views, and big desert overlooks, all doable at an easy pace over 2–3 days.

📍 Waterhole Canyon – beautiful slot canyon tour that lets you explore three canyons in one go, without the heavy crowds.

📍 Horseshoe Bend – iconic viewpoint, especially at sunset or golden hour.

📍 Upper Antelope Canyon – the famous, very popular slot canyon; crowded but still worth it for the light beams and textures.

📍 Antelope Canyon Boat Tour – a relaxing way to see the canyon walls and Lake Powell from the water.

📍 Wahweap Viewpoint – underrated, peaceful lake views (one of my favorites).

📍 Navajo Mountain Viewpoint – wide‑open lakes & dam vista near Lake Powell.

Most of these can be combined into 1–3 days (depending on your pace), which makes Page a really good base on an Arizona road trip from the East Coast. Just expect some walking and a bit of climbing in the slot canyons and at Horseshoe Bend.

On my first visit to Vegas, I initially felt a little disappointed. I thought it was all just huge hotels (with casinos) & shopping malls. 🛍️🎰

But once I started exploring, I realized that experiencing those spaces is actually part of the fun.

These are 6 things I’d recommend if it’s your first time in Vegas, especially if you want to experience the city without rushing into day trips.

📍 The Sphere
An impressive visual experience even if you only see it from the outside. If you want a higher vantage point, the High Roller offers a great bird’s-eye view.

📍 Bellagio Fountain Show
An iconic free show that runs every 15–20 minutes throughout the day and night.

📍 The Awakening at Wynn
A visually stunning show with a rotating stage, grand performances, and immersive, life-sized props that I highly recommend.

📍 The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace
A Roman-themed shopping mall that’s perfect for wandering and window shopping. They also have a free 10-minute animated statue show called The Atlantis Show that runs at intervals.

📍 Grand Canal Shops at The Venetian
A Venice-inspired shopping mall with an actual indoor canal and gondola rides that’s perfect for a romantic break while soaking in the architecture.

📍 Bellagio Conservatory
Beautiful & grand horticulture setups whose theme changes every season. It’s a very popular spot, so expect crowds.

Which one would you start with?

New Year’s Eve doesn’t always have to mean crowded clubs or loud parties. Last year, we spent NYE aboard Battleship New Jersey, and it turned out to be such a unique little experience.

If you’re looking for something low-key yet memorable this year, this is worth considering.
