The present is the only time that exists. If we are not living there, we are choosing fiction and fantasy over reality. The ability to choose is what makes life important. The impact we have on the world can only decided on in the present. Past and future are out of your control, not what you choose to do in this moment.

We often dont realize that freedom is something we just long for. We also fear it. It is groundlessness and resposibility. Everyone must struggle with this truth.

The brain is programmed to protect itself. When there is no danger, a powerful brain will create threats to give itself purpose. Imagination is a double edged sword.
