Tired of that annoying pop up asking you to upgrade to Windows 10? There is a solution other than beating your computer with a hammer (although that is obviously more gratifying). Check out Gibson Research's Never10 application. This is the easiest and best application we have found to disable the Windows 10 upgrade. Previous fixes were either complicated or didn't work (or both!). Here is all you have to do and it takes less than two minutes:

1. Go to https://www.grc.com/never10.htm and click the green 'Download now' button on the right hand side about half way down the page
2. Save the file (never10.exe) and run it.
3. If present, click the 'Remove Win10 Files' button to remove any Windows 10 installation files
4. Click the 'Disable Win10 Upgrade' button
5. Click Exit
6. Click the 'Like' button on our page :-) (our page, not this post!)
7. Reboot and you're done!

If you really, really want to delete the entire Get Windows 10 (GWX) program from your computer you can also do the following (but not required!):
1. Go to the Control Panel, open Windows Update, and click Installed Updates in the lower left hand corner.
2. In the 'Search Installed Updates' box in the upper right hand corner paste in KB3035583 and hit Enter.
3. Select the update the search finds and click Uninstall.
4. Reboot your computer
5. Go to the Control Panel, open Windows Update, and click 'Check for updates' in the upper left hand corner.
6. After the search for available updates finishes, click on '1 important update is available' (may be more than 1 update depending on your computer).
7. Find the update ending in KB3035583, right click on it, and select 'Hide update'
