After four years of persistence, setbacks, and soul-searching… I’m proud to say I’m officially an MDS Certified Level 1 Instructor.

This wasn’t just a goal. It was a dream I carried with me through every twist life threw my way. There were seasons where it felt like it would never happen—life got loud, chaotic, and sometimes heavy. But I never let go.

Fighting, and specifically MDS, has always been something sacred between my father and me. It was our language, our bond, our way of understanding each other without needing many words.

And on Sunday—on the two-year anniversary of his passing—I finally got certified. I know he’s with me, proud, and maybe even cracking a little smile from wherever he is.

To anyone out there with a dream on pause—don’t give up. It may take longer than you thought, and it may cost more than you planned, but it’s always worth it.

Here’s to the journey. Here’s to Dad. And here’s to never backing down. Level 2, here I come!
