Muskisickness Fishing
Fishing Indiana waters for Musky and Crappies, Redears, & Bluegill
06/23/2026
Heading out to try and see a few Muskies Tuesday. Launching the boat I spoke with Tyler Delauder as they were preparing to do a water Oxygen concentration on Webster. I told him I was going after some Muskies. He told me he had been given the business about the Muskie fishing from and angler. They had more fish in the nets than some previous years and have had other good surveys. They were able to share the results by Thur or Friday. I had no luck, not sure on follows due to a storm coming winds were hitting 20mph and rollong foot and a half waves, usual on Webster! I shared a comment on the Indiana Muskie Classic page that was not shared. My thoughts are I think we are starting to see the effects of FFS from overuse, the signal it puts off will condition fish to moving off as soon as they feel it. It has been talked about on Pro Bass circuits, they are seeing on their screens when they approach fish at times now they swim off as soon as they feel it. Add Muskie anglers that have no skill that may be chasing down Muskies, long enough to make them bite, then sniping them, and as I have heard with new baits that snag them. The constant barage of Electronic Field is causing them to be negative now. They have no place to hide and recoup. W**d control is the blame, but there are plenty of weeds and I saw no fish floating. They have been saying this could be coming, I think on heavily pressured small lakes it is already here. 💔
