Indiana First Responder support group.

I am honored to be a small part to the start of healing for the Indy Firehawks. National Police Wives Association president Kelli Lowe and her husband retired Sgt. Charles Lowe set about creating a safe space for the kids and parents to vent, voice concerns, and start the process of healing after trauma.
Over the weekend, one of their coaches was shot after a youth League football game.
A special thanks go out to the officers who, on their own time, came to support these kids as well. Thank you for providing a positive law enforcement experience for the kids and their families. It's always important to continue our mission of bridge building between community and law enforcement.

By this time, I am sure everyone has seen or heard of the devastation that Hurricane Helene has caused from the Florida Keys all the way up to here in central Indiana.
This storm was unprecedented. Making landfall in an area that had not seen a hurricane make land fall in quite some time as a category 4. It was still a category 1 hurricane as it crossed Georgia into South Caroline and North Carolina. This storm has left a horrific reality in its wake and that was with some warning. As it moved west it's strong wind and rain has literally washed towns away.
The loss of life will take weeks to be fully realized. We already know that first responders and civilians alike have parished.
Our first responders are fighting so hard to save those in need. They are working around the clock, with little to no rest, some having already lost everything themselves.
Blue Bond is asking if you have the ability to, to please donate to the National Fraternal Order of Police the NFOP have deployed 2 of their Disaster Action Response Teams to help those on the ground.
You van donate here: https://fop.net/donate/
We will have other vetted organizations to donate too as soon as they are vetted.

I wanted to take a moment and give attention to 2 groups of what I consider first responders as well.
This week is National Corrections Week as well as National Nurses Week.
These 2 groups of professionals may not be out in the field like our officers are, but they are a part of our family just like fire, EMS, and dispatchers. They are on the front lines and in the trenches in their own way.
If you see a CO or nurse this week, thank them for their service.
