October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month—a time to honor survivors, raise awareness, and remind everyone that help is available. Domestic violence affects people of all genders, races, and backgrounds. 1 in 3 women, 1 in 4 men, and nearly half of LGBTQ+ individuals will experience domestic violence in their lifetime.

Everyone can play a role in supporting those impacted. If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, you are not alone—help and resources are available through our EAP and the National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-SAFE (7233), text “Start” to 88788.
