Pressing Forward

Sunday last was a first for Bethany Baptist Church since its founding. There was no voice heard from the pulpit. This pulpit has proclaimed the gospel of Christ for over 50 years with no recess! This week it was silent. God’s people were still listening to God’s word and praying for this is not limited to a building. AND we were together in Spirit and heart! But silent was the sanctuary (except a few verses quoted to an empty building).

I do not believe that Christians realize how much spiritual food is necessary each day to maintain their ‘spiritual’ metabolism. The Lord required the Israelites to collect their manna every day.
