Did you know the Fairgrounds receives 10% of total revenue collected from the hotel/motel tax that is generated by visitors staying in hotels? The fairgrounds currently receives 10% of this tax annually to fund advertising, building repairs and maintenance. An increase in this tax ultimately means an increase in funding to the Fairgrounds. Grandstand update: We have received our first reimbursement from the grant last week! This reimbursement is for soft costs associated with design. There will be more reimbursements for these expenses along with hard costs associated with construction, up to $2,500,000.

We had a great turn out at the mandatory pre-bid meeting this morning with many interested companies.
