Beltane festival occurs on May 1 st. 2023. It’s a time of great joy as it marks the return of spring and the onset of summer.

Beltane has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Beltane, which was celebrated in Scotland, Ireland, and other parts of Europe. The festival marks the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice and was considered a time of transition and rebirth.

In Celtic culture Beltane was associated with the god Belenus and the goddess Flora, who represented fertility, growth, and abundance. People would light bonfires and dance, hoping to gain the blessings of the gods for their crops, livestock, and families.

It’s time to honor the Nature thanking it for its guidance and blessings. You can recite a prayer or chant, such as:

“Great Sun, We honor your return and warmth. Great Earth, We honor your fertility and abundance.”

Beltane is also a time to plant seeds of intention for the coming year.
