Three women. Three incredible journeys. One thing in common: They earned every bit of it.

Success doesn’t happen overnight. It happens through early mornings, late nights, extra reps, sacrifice, consistency, and believing in yourself long before the results arrive. Today we’re celebrating three women who continue to inspire the next generation of athletes.

• Winningest Head Women’s Basketball Coach in Governors State history

• Led GSU to its first NAIA National Tournament, first CCAC Championship, and an Elite Eight appearance

• IHSA Class 3A Team State Champion
• Chicago Public League Champion
• Member of one of the fastest 4×100 relay teams in Illinois history
• NCAA Division I athlete at Illinois State
• Missouri Valley Conference Champion (4×100 Relay)
• MVC Indoor & Outdoor Triple Jump Runner-Up
• NCAA West Preliminary qualifier
• Illinois State Top-10 All-Time Performer and 4th-best triple jumper in school history

• Illinois Coaches Association All-State
• Two-time All-Conference
• Four-year varsity standout at Beecher
• MWAC First Team All-Conference
• NJCAA Region 24 All-Region at DACC

The awards are impressive, but they don’t tell the whole story. They don’t show the hours of work, the setbacks, the injuries, the sacrifices or the commitment to keep improving when no one is watching.

We’re incredibly proud of these women! We are grateful to be a small part of their journey. Their accomplishments are a reminder to every young athlete who walks through our doors that greatness is earned one day, one workout and one decision at a time.
