The Fourth of July is one of our favorite times of the year. It gives us a chance to step back, spend time with family, and enjoy this rare freedom we are blessed with every day.

It's the freedom:
To build something meaningful.
To take pride in our work.
To provide for our families.
To speak our minds.
To pursue our dreams.
To be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Theodore Roosevelt has a great quote from his 1903 Labor Day Speech:

"Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing."

We are grateful for the foundations of faith and hard work this country was built on, the hard fought battles that got us here, and the men and women who protect our freedoms every day.

Most of all, we are thankful for the time we get to spend with the people we love the most.

We’ve been making great progress out at Catawba College as work continues on the renovation and expansion of the historic Stanback Hall.

Originally built in 1927, this project is a unique blend of past and present. The existing core of the building is being fully renovated while we work alongside historical experts to preserve as much of the original structure as possible.

At the same time, the wings added in 1957 and 1961 are being removed and replaced with two brand new wings, bringing new life and functionality to the dorm while honoring its history.

Our team is handling complete plumbing installation throughout the project. This includes all new systems within the original building, as well as full new infrastructure across the expanded wings. From underground piping to final connections, there is a lot of coordination happening across every phase of the job.

Being part of a project that preserves history while building for the future is something special.

Each level of our 4 year program requires 144+ hours of classroom work, and 2,000+ on-the-job hours.
