"Assalamu alakium brothers; Peace be upon you all is the Universal language. Today I want to discuss the Islamic Life skills program we've been working on at 5 other Federal prisons throughout the country. What this program does is help Muslims inmates rehabilitate themselves, some self-improve opportunities for brothers and sisters that are incarcerated here and other states," the Spiritual leader continued as a hand went into the air.
" Salaam brother, I was wondering if this program is only designed for Muslims or is it for anybody and do it help you in the financial world," dude asked sitting to Ross's left?
" Our mission is to present the theological, psychological and socioeconomic themes universally accepted by teaching principles of Islam. It's gonna help anyone cultivate the mindset of individuals and as a collective mind set of the Muslim- non Muslim alike while encouraging them to focus on growth and inner transformation. So that'll mean it's for the soul, to purify and correct the innate nature of your inner self. It will improve the outer character and moral of any one brothers, I mean anyone! Don't get me wrong, this format is the transformation on the life of a person who converts to Islam;It's about the challenges to seek out and to understand the Islamic religion versus culture.There is a focus which lies ahead for Muslim inmates within the Corrections, and in the broader community you're released from prison; but again it's about transformation for everyone."
The Imam( Spiritual Coordinator) explained to the congregation the importance of knowing what self-concept consist of,which is the accumulation of knowledge about knowing self. He covered what entails your benefits, regarding personal traits, natural characteristics of the physical with all humans abilities. He even spoke on life values, goals and the purpose/ roles you need to play in society.
