Here is a description of what it is:

A roof dead valley is a low-slope or flat area where two or more roof slopes meet or meet on the wall, often causing water to collect, stagnate, and cause leaks because it cannot drain quickly.
These high-risk, slow-draining areas trap water, leaves, and debris, leading to water pe*******on, wood rot and interior damage.
Common fixes include install modified bitumen membranes, wide metal flashings, or building a cricket to improve slope and drainage.
