History

The Kickapoo Tribal Police Department was established in the late 1980’s. The Department started off as a Security Force Headed by Kathleen Leading Fox. The Department then became a Police Department in the early 1990’s with a police force of about 5 Officers. Today the Department is comprised of 13 full-time Officers. The Department operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. It is headed by Chief Jayson Tillery 601. The Department is made up of a patrol unit, Investigations unit, and K-9 unit.

Our jurisdictional boundaries include, southern border: North Canadian River, northern border: Deep Fork River, eastern border: Kickapoo Avenue, and western border: Indian Meridian, all in which encompass parts of Pottawatomie, Lincoln and Oklahoma Counties.
