We have been busy busy.

I’m so proud of our team for pulling together to make sure everything gets covered. We had a last-minute job on Friday and Scott took one of my scheduled movers to Wilmington for the new job. This left my job locally at least one mover short.  There was a graduation and one of my other movers had to leave by midday to go to graduation. Have no fear, we worked it out. I pitched in, and Scott brought his crew by on the way back from Wilmington.  this customer had a lot of Tyvek bags. They were very cool, color-coded even.  They took up most of 1 24 foot box truck 😳

At our garden along Fifth Street in Mebane, we not only have vegetables that are free to be picked for the community, but we also have a section for pollinators in our garden. I had a lot of fun watching the bees this weekend. 

Sunday consisted of helping a sweet lady finally get into her home.(even if it did have tight staircases.)😂 We normally try and take Sundays off, but can make an exception for an emergency. We did lose a cool wooden wheel along the way….but I’ve already found a replacement. 😎 How was your weekend?

Meet Penelope. She was installed tonight was made possible from the Doris Covingtonerials from Doris Covington, and the artistic talents of Ashley Austin and Maniah Evans. She can be found in the garden located along Fifth Street in downtown Mebane. Please come visit our neighborhood garden. We have tried to make the paths clear and inviting this year. Hopefully it will make it easier for patrons to pick the fruits of our labor. Last year the garden was extremely whimsical, a bit chaotic and a little intimidating to pick tomatoes and cucumbers from overhead.

We had the pleasure today of volunteering through Sleep in Heavenly Peace - NC, Mebane. Mebane has a new chapter and we are very proud to volunteer with them. There are kids in the community that are still sleeping on the floor. We want to reach them and get them into a bed. Please check out this organization and see how you can help either through volunteering or donating supplies. Or, come out to the fundraiser on May 30 at Buffalo lanes.  I have attached the information.
