It always amazes me what cat's can survive. This indoor cat survived two nights and three days in a tree when the temperatures hovered from 10-30 degrees the entire time. Everyone is glad she is back inside where it is nice and warm!

Incidentally, this cat belongs to an officer in the local fire department. Many people instinctively suggest calling the fire department when they hear that someone has a cat in a tree, but in most cases they just don't have the gear and training needed to safely rescue a cat from a tree. Even if they have a ladder truck that can be maneuvered to the tree they usually can't prioritize a cat's life over human life that might be on the line elsewhere in the county/city.
