Emilio Carranza Memorial Committee - American Legion Department of New Jersey - Post 11 of Mount Holly, New Jersey, along with representatives from the Mexican consulates in New York City, New York, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to honor Captain Emilio Carranza.

Every year, Mount Holly Post No. 11 of the American Legion celebrates a service for Captain Emilio Carranza, whose plane crashed in the New Jersey Pines in July 1928 while on a goodwill flight commissioned by the government of Mexico.

The Federal Aviation Administration has expanded Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) for Sail4th 250 and the International Naval Review. The TFR is in effect now through July 9, 2026.

The restricted areas are larger and remain in effect longer than the recent FIFA World Cup TFRs, extending along the Hudson River from the George Washington Bridge south through Ocean County, New Jersey.

Unauthorized drone use within a restricted area is prohibited. There will be severe consequences for reckless, careless, or criminal drone use, including fines of up to $100,000, criminal charges, imprisonment, and the confiscation of your drone.
