Custom Taylor'd Carpentry

Prepped this passed weekend for the next step in the milling process. I've used a router sled before to mill lumber too large for me to handle solo on my jointer, but that setup previously had a capacity of 8' in length. So Saturday I built a 5' extension table, and using a laser, brought the surface all into plane (the floor in my shop is far from level). I used various shims and plywood rips to stabilize the horses at the ground.
This weekend we take a whack at it!

This client is redoing their kitchen and painting the old cabinets to spruce them up. They had a single broken drawer that needed replacing, so I whipped up this oak drawer box and poplar front to match.
I'll be doing a lot of dovetailing as we had into holiday gift season, so this was a great way to shake out the rust, as I haven't hand-cut dovetails for a while now.
