It happened again. Just as temperatures climb to record highs, one of the HVAC systems at the PSPCA's Main Line Animal Rescue has failed — and the timing couldn't be worse.

Last summer, the AC in our cat room at our Main Line Animal Rescue site gave out, and you helped us fix it fast.

That was just one of eight HVAC units working around the clock to keep our dogs, cats, and staff safe in MLAR's main kennel areas. This week, a different unit failed, and this time, it's a section of our dog kennels without the ability to cool.

Our staff onsite is doing everything they can: extra fans, constant monitoring, round-the-clock checks. But that's not sustainable when temperatures are pushing well past 100 degrees. The dogs in our care need a real fix, and they need it fast.

Repairing this unit is estimated to cost just over $15,000.
