I want to share with you a lesson I learned from a TV show called the Grinder...

But first a college story.

I was in college and taking a programming class. The final assignment was based on writing a program.

At the end of the semester and the final class, the professor handed back the assignments. For my final grade I got an A. :)

The professor asked me to stay after class because he wanted to talk to me.

He said Kostekecky, I ran my test data through your program and it worked every time. Then I looked at your code to make sure everything was formatted correctly.

As I started looking at your code and analyzing it I thought, why does this work? There's no way this should even work.

My reply was 'it seemed like logical way to do things.'

When Richard Bannister (I think that's his name), the first guy to run a four minute mile, it had never been done before.

Now a lot of runners have done it.

Now back to the TV show the Grinder.

What's the TV show that lasted one season on Fox starring Rob Lowe. The concept was amusing. Rob Lowe played a TV lawyer.

After his TV show got canceled he moved to be close to his parents and started helping his dad and his brother who had an actual law firm.

Every episode would have interesting cases. Rob Lowe's character would say that this reminds him of episode such and such.

And every time his dad or his brother after he mentioned what was his logical solution to the problem would say you can't do that!

And his reply was always the same 'But what if you could!'

Years ago, a DUI attorney hired me to get more cases from Facebook. Here's the challenge. FB doesn't have the data, and nobody is posting about their dui looking for recommendations.

I had an idea, and it brought him 2 new cases in the next couple of weeks. Every marketer I shared my strategy with told me that they would never have thought of that.

That was unofficially v1.0 of my PRESTO system for laser targeted leads.

V 2.0 happened a few years later...

I was in a chiropractor group. One member jokingly said...it would make our business easier if we could put an ad in front of people that had been in an accident.

My reply...What if you could!

I had no idea how to do it, but 80 plus chiros were DM ing me.

One chiro got a second opinion from the guy who was running his ads. His guy said it couldn't be done.

My reply was you don't know what you don't know.

As one of my mentors Chad Nicely says, if you're out in a box, you need to figure it out and get out of the box.

And I did. It took a week to set everything thing up.

But I knew that it could be better.

And it is with V 3.0

I have a lot of marketer friends here.

A few days ago, one of them reached out for some advice and help about getting qualified leads for some of their services.

I've recently 'resurrected' a strategy I developed when I was doing lead gen for Microsoft.

It flies under the radar. The best thing about this is you are also using it to develop good will for your list and your prospects.

I used it a few years ago for marketers on my email list. I simply asked a question and people responded.

That led to a few hundred dollars in sales a $7 report (not huge $ I know- BUT I also picked up 3 private consulting clients. (More than $7 :))

I also used this strategy for a webinar coaching client. She had a teeny tiny show rate of 52 people- selling a $1k product. She made 1 sale.

I wrote an email for her and she mailed it out. That ONE email generated an additional $32,000 in sales!

I revealed a basic version about 6 years ago. One of my students took that and closed a $24,000 deal in less than an hour after implementing it.

It was originally created for cold calling, BUT I've discovered that it works pretty good for cold email (I'm getting about a 63% open rate.)

And on LinkedIN.

It's all done with a simple survey!

But the way the questions and the survey is framed- it flies under the radar.

There are some other ways to monetize this for services, high ticket coaching etc.

If I get enough interest, I'll do a 1 or 2 day 1.5 workshop.

It's probably gonna be $47 and after I get some testimonials, I'll probably turn it into a funnel with the main product being $300.

I'm going to limit this to no more than 100 attendees.
