one doom-and-gloom-y day a bit ago, i wrote this poem about how trying to live in the moment means also recognizing how fast the moment slips away. a beautifully tragic concept to spend a portion of your day thinking over…

anyway, i called my friend and co-producer and we turned it into a song. at the time, i was struggling with finishing some songs (one of them has been years in the making… iykyk) but this one? we sat down and finished writing it in maybe 30 minutes. i couldn’t help but laugh at the irony 🥲

i really wanted the song to sound exactly like it feels. simple, but also complex. minimal, coming to you with nothing in its hands, ready to hold as much as you want it carry….

all the time in the world ⏳ (…wait for it… ᵕ̈)

i’ve always had a weird relationship with time. how to make the most of it, how to take a moment and sit with it, how to understand the meaning of it…

there are days i feel it so intensely. i want to cherish and savor every grain of sand that’s falling inside the hourglass of my life. then other days, i feel like the sand is suddenly too heavy and i’m going to be crushed from the weight of it piling up on top of me.

how weird is it to feel like we have so much time and yet so little of it too?

how long is forever? sometimes, only just one second… and isn’t that beautiful?
