THE DISAPPEARANCE OF LAKIRA GOLDSMITH
Montgomery, Alabama | November 29, 2018

Lakira Goldsmith was 20 years old when she vanished from Montgomery.

She lived in the 4500 block of Narrow Lane Road. On November 28, 2018, she left her home after briefly speaking with her grandmother.

She never came back.

According to reports, a maintenance worker stated he saw Lakira around 2:00 a.m. on November 29 outside the apartment complex and allowed her to borrow his phone. He went back inside. When he returned, Lakira was gone. His phone was reportedly left behind on the steps.

Other accounts indicate Lakira may have been seen speaking with a friend or boyfriend that same night. That is the last known time she was seen.

Her mother, Marchelle Goldsmith, told WSFA that when Lakira was reported missing, Montgomery police took a report. The department declined further comment, stating they do not discuss active investigations.

Marchelle has continued to publicly plead for information. In one statement she shared, “Someone out there saw something. No one just goes missing without anyone seeing something.”

On social media, she wrote about the pain of not knowing what happened to her daughter and the daily struggle of living without answers.

At the time of her disappearance, Lakira Goldsmith was 5’5” and weighed approximately 150 pounds.

15-year-old Kaeden Young has been missing since February 11, 2026, from Saint Louis, Missouri. Authorities are asking the public to remain aware and report any information that may help locate him.

Kaeden may still be in the local Saint Louis area or may travel to Maryland Heights, Missouri. He has braces, which may help with identification.
